Day 46 - Who remembers the '87 storm?

I remember the 'eye' of the storm quite clearly. I looked out the window at about 3am and it was relatively calm outside. It started again about half an hour later.

And for some reason we got bussed to Hythe Swimming Pool to shower after 3-4 days, I think something happened to the school water supply.

Day 44 - So Russell has started a debate. Good

For those of you who have been living under a rock, here is the aforementioned Newsnight interview:

Day 43 - Everybody should have a warm, safe bed.

Please try and find out about your local Homeless
Shelter and donate this winter.

It does make a difference, and a bit of friendly contact and a warm safe bed can give someone the jump start they need to getting their physical and mental health back and on the road to getting a roof over their head.

My local shelter can be found through these links:

Day 30 - I fancy a cartoon......

The Diana Wynne Jones book it was based on is great too!

Day 25 - The things people flush down the loo

It's no different to putting horse manure on your allotment, it's more eco-friendly than chemical fertilisers (and probably more effective), and it doesn't get pumped out to sea from the sewage plant.

But spare a thought for that 16 yr old who will have to pick that condom you just flushed off a production line...

Day 22 - Friends like these...

Seeing as my friends come from places like Hounslow & Brixham, I think they might be throwing stones in glass houses a bit.

Day 20 - My brother wasn't always a 6ft+ Rugby Player type

I used to tell Mum I wanted to stop doing ballet after every lesson. She'd say "Give me one good reason", I'd say "Because I HATE it!", to which she always replied "That's not a good enough reason".

Years later, someone in Boston, Mass, told me they could tell I'd done ballet as a child because of the way I carried myself. Don't tell my Mum she was right!!
