2.0 Day 227 - Meowdonna of the Yarnwinder (after Leonardo)

When I asked a friend to make me a Niddy Noddy (yarnwinder) he had never heard of one, so I gave him a brief background including Da Vinci's 'Madonna & Child' (also known as 'Madonna of the Yarnwinder') which features a niddy noddy in the hand of baby Jesus.

He laughed and said that he expected to see me featured in an oil painting, with the niddy noddy he'd made, by a "notable artist". I said I WAS a notable artist and I'd bluddy do it myself, with Herman the cat as baby Jesus.

Et Voila!

The Original: Madonna of the Yarnwinder (aka Madonna of the Niddy Noddy) by Leonardo da Vinci. It was stolen from Drumlanrig Castle in 2003 by two New Zealanders posing as tourists who said "Don't worry love, we're the police. This is just practice" when a member of staff caught them.
